Mother Nature certainly wasn’t shy with the United States, which features everything from lush river valleys to stunning desert mesas to whisper-thin barrier islands. This is our arbitrary, state-by-state ranking of the United States’ most picturesque locations. So, let us get started with our article “Travelling in the US: The Most Beautiful Places.”
1. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
While travelling in US, make sure to visit this place. For nature lovers, Yellowstone National Park is a stunning wonderland. This 3,500 square mile park is a treasure trove of rugged gorges, towering mountains, picturesque waterfalls, and intriguing geysers.
Elk, grizzly bears and buffalo are just some of the abundant fauna that calls this place home. Furthermore, it is home to the rainbow-sheathed Grand Prismatic Spring, the third biggest spring on the earth and deeper than ten storeys.
Furthermore, the vastness of the area means that, although attracting over 4 million visitors annually, you are unlikely ever to be close to another tourist. Because of this, it is a terrific site for quiet relaxation and easily one of the most beautiful spots in the United States.
2. Maroon Bells, Colorado
The magnificent and gorgeous Maroon Bells are located in Aspen, Colorado. These two Rocky Mountain peaks were given their name due to the regal shadow they throw. Underneath that magnificent view, you’ll find the pristine waters of Maroon Lake amidst fields of bright wildflowers.
It’s not hard to understand why the Maroon Bells are among the most photographed landmarks in the United States. Your entire environment will look like a postcard—one of the most stunning landscapes in the United States. Try not to miss out a chance to see this place while travelling in the USA.
3. Watkins Glen State Park, New York
New York’s Watkins Glen State Park takes its name from the nearby town of the same name and may be found in the Finger Lakes region of the state. With only 778 acres, it’s not as big as some of the more well-known parks, but it does have a canyon with 19 stunning waterfalls.
The park also has the beautiful Rainbow Bridge and Falls, which look like they were plucked from an exciting fantasy novel. Plenty of open space is available for camping if that’s your thing. It’s a great pitstop while travelling in the USA.
4. Monument Valley, Arizona/Utah
A minimalist tourist destination, Monument Valley straddles the state lines of Utah and Arizona. Despite its seeming simplicity, this red sand desert may be one of the most stunning landscapes you’ve ever seen.
Along Valley Drive, which spans 17 miles, you’ll see several picturesque sandstone buttes. I feel like you’ve stepped into a Wild West movie in this valley. John Ford’s Point is an excellent vantage point to take in the panorama, especially if you’re interested in seeing the Mittens buttes.
5. Crater Lake, Oregon
A stunning body of beautiful blue water, Crater Lake sits at peace inside the confines of Mount Mazama. This enormous caldera, which covers 53 square kilometres and is 2000 feet deep, was formed due to an explosion over 7,000 years ago.
This lake has the deepest water of any similar one in the United States. Awe-inspiring reflections of the snowy cliffs and other landscape features may be seen in the lake today. If you’re looking for a place to go scuba diving or take in the scenery, go beyond these alluring depths.
6. Niagara Falls, New York
There are many cool things to do in New York, but if you ask someone what they recommend, they’ll probably say Niagara Falls. Located on the international boundary between the United States of America and Canada, it is undeniably a sight that you don’t want to miss.
It’s little wonder that over 30 million people visit these falls yearly! You’ll share my astonishment when you witness the daily and hourly drop of six million cubic feet of water.
7. Death Valley National Park, California
To name a basin known as Death Valley, one of the most stunning landscapes in the United States, would be a stretch. Because of its underground location, Death Valley is the driest and warmest place in the United States. Zabriskie Point, however, is a magnificent summit that offers a great vantage point from which to enjoy the sun setting.
Further, despite its moniker, Death Valley is surprisingly rich in wildlife during many years of the year. After a storm, beautiful blooms of wildflowers appear, and in the winter, snow decorates the peaks of cliffs.

8. Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina/Virginia
We cannot consider most highways beautiful locations; thus, the fact that the Blue Ridge Parkway is one can come as a surprise to you. However, this roadway is 469 miles long, crosses various nations inside North Carolina and Virginia, and features some of the most breathtaking scenery in the country. From this roadway, you may see the breathtaking Appalachian mountains, including the Peaks of Otter and the well-known Roanoke Mountain.

9. Savannah, Georgia
